I am putting together my little Glastonbury photo album to commemorate my week stay in England with my nieces & nephews.
Here are some of my favorites! These focus more on the children individually. I specialize in classic child & family portraits. Capturing a child naturally in their element. At home in their environment, interacting naturally with it
My child & family photography Dublin is natural & candid. I love classic black & white photography as well as rich authentic color! For these, there was no time to dress up!
Just children being children
These portraits are casual, unscripted moments. Just taken in the garden around sundown.
Nothing fussy. Just the children in their ordinary, every day clothes.
Ordinary everyday moments that turn out to be just as precious as grand occasions.
Pictures taken whenever and wherever they were in the mood! I had my camera handy at all times!
Cloudy weather, between rainfall, can create some lovely colors. Here in the garden, bringing out the fading pink blooms of the hydrangea.
Plus the colors of falling autumn leaves (yes, autumn has started here already!)
I've got a mix of color & black & white child & family portraits here.
The black & white pictures are mostly of my niece on her favorite swing.
The swing portraits were an opportunity to practice my panning with some interesting & mixed results!
I also asked her to slow down a bit so I had the opportunity to capture the movement.
I love her expression in these, lost in the moment!
I've also included a picture of all 5 children in the frame here, with Glastonbury Tor in the distance. Asking the children to kneel in the grass is a good way to compensate for all their different heights - from the tallest, to the smallest two year old. All of them captured in one family portrait!
I think you can see the bond between them all, right?
It's not always easy to have them all smiling in a single picture. For my family sessions in an outdoor location, I tend to ask my families to bring a blanket so they can all sit comfortably
Here in Dublin, I am gearing up for autumn family photo shoots. The run up to Christmas is also a busy time. People wanting to celebrate family in the festive season. To turn pictures into Christmas cards.
The garden can be a perfect place for some winter & Christmas photo shoots. Either at home or in a garden or park.
Winter holly. Pops of red berries. Perfect for Christmas family portraits.
Christmas cards are also easily made online by uploading the digital files.
In the meantime, here are some of my Glastonbury favorites, in the run to Christmas!
